I should be rushing to get ready for

I should be rushing to get ready for work, but I'm having trouble getting motivated.  We've had a lot of fires to put out at the office, the biggest one being caused by one of the companies that we supply deciding that we had to change a graphic at the very last minute.  I'm talking the graphics were halfway through the printing process, and we had to call the press and tell them to stop.  At first the company tried to tell us that we were at fault b/c we hadn't followed the official approval process as outlined in the style guide issued on blah blah day.  However, when we pointed out that we were instructed at a later date to follow a different procedure, suddenly they changed their tune and were all "Oh yes, we're sorry.  It's our fault but we need to get this changed..."  Funny how when you are talking about tens of thousands of dollars in wasted money, suddenly people's memories become a lot foggier.

Speaking of work, I've intended to share this story for a while, but I keep forgetting to.  One day I was sitting in a video conference meeting.  We were meeting with a team of ours over in the UK, but the meeting was being held up b/c the person running the meeting was late.  So about 30 of us, split evenly between the two conference rooms were just sitting around.  There was some chatter back and forth, and folks on both sides introduced themselves, and then a lull as we all sort of sat there with nothing to do.  Just then, one of the folks over in the UK said "Well, why don't we do the first ever transatlantic wave?"  We ended up getting all 30 people doing the wave going around the circle from the UK to the US and back to the UK.

Isn't it amazing how technology enriches our lives?
