The Pink Life!
Finally have some time to post an update! I had a fabulous time at the two shows--some pictures of the pink hair are up in the auction area. I also was able to get a picture with the band at the Acoustic Cafe (I'm on the far right)

The pink hair has been a really interesting thing to live with. While there are a few "Why did you cut your hair?!!!" comments from those who think that women should only have long hair, the majority of comments have been resoundingly positive. A surprising number of folks have even insisted that I continue with the same color or experiment with other colors moving forward.
In addition, it's been wild going out in public with it. There have definitely been whispers or stares from folks who don't like it or think I'm some crazy punk. I expected that. The thing that I didn't expect was the positive attention I receive as well. It's like I'm wearing a big sign that says "Come on up and talk to me!!" When I went Xmas shopping, I never once had to look for help. All the clerks came up smiling to help--we can't decide if it's b/c they wanted to tell their friends about the pink-haired freak they helped or if they thought I might steal stuff! LOL
A few people have been asking what I'll do with my hair next. I don't expect that I will be doing anything with it, to be honest. Since I've already dyed it pink, the only things I could do that would be 'different' would be to do a mohawk or shave my head completely. If we do any sort of fundraising next year, I will look for a new challenge instead...
